Bucharest, Romania

Our flight departed as planned and we landed in Bucharest at about 12:25pm on October 18. We headed to our hotel which could not have been in a better location. Checked into our room and then headed out walking. About a block from our hotel was this lovely old church and historical landmark. The Assumption of the Virgin Mary Kretulescu Church

Next we walked to Revolution Square to see the former Royal Palace, former headquarters of the Communist Party and the Romanian Athenaeum

We then had a nice dinner in the City Grill and headed back to the hotel to catch some sleep. I accidentally set the alarm for 8:00pm instead of 8:00am. When the alarm went off I thought that was the shortest night's sleep ever.
